The event is organised by Rosie’s Granddad, Robin Pepper who is a keen ornithologist. Robin is a retired veterinary surgeon who teams up with two friends, one an ex-colleague, to see how many different varieties (species) of bird they can spot in a 24 hour period, in East Sussex.The only rule is that each bird must be seen by at least two of the team. This year's event took place in April 2007 and you can read here to find out whether or not they finally managed to spot one hundred or not!.
