How the Scheme works

Most of us who work send greetings cards to our colleagues. We all know that this is a busy time of year and some people, whilst wanting to send some formal greeting, feel that the idea of sending a card to someone they work alongside each day is not the best way of doing this.

This scheme provides a means of conveying greetings to your colleagues and, at the same time, supporting researchers who are striving to fight against childhood cancer.

The REACH poster bears the words Seasons Greetings to you all from (then there is space for all participants to sign)who have demonstrated the true spirit of Christmas by donating the sum of xxx to the REACH Fund (UK Charity No. 235825)

The REACH poster in 4 easy steps

  • Workmates agree that donating to REACH is preferable to sending cards to each other.

  • One of them contacts Bridget Pepper (Tel: 01444 416925 or e-mail reach_poster@yahoo.co.uk) for a collecting envelope and A3 poster. A Poster Pack or Further details are also available from The Reach Secretary at the Institute of Child Health (0207 813 8495)

  • Envelope and poster are circulated among staff who make donations (as a guide, roughly equivalent to the amount of money which they would have spent on cards for their colleagues), and sign the poster. Money raised is returned to the organiser, who sends cheque for the total (Payable to Special Trustees GOS, REACH) to Bridget Pepper, (address supplied with the poster) for logging and forwarding to REACH at Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens Charity (or pay online at www.justgiving.com/rosiesposy)

  • Participants display the poster at work as a greeting to one another. Organiser will receive a receipt for the total raised in their workplace, from Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Fund.
